Tuesday, Jan. 19

A staff member reported the theft of college equipment valued at approximately $1,000 stolen from a room in the Ansin Building.

Students using a microwave in the Little Building set off a smoke detector.  There was neither fire nor was anyone injured.

A student reported the theft of their laptop after accidentally leaving it in a classroom in Ansin.

 

Wednesday, Jan. 20

A Securitas officer reported that an individual tried to enter The Paramount Center without proper identification. The person was turned away.

 

Monday, Jan. 25

The Office of Housing and Residence Life notified the Emerson College Police Department that

they had found underage students with alcohol and drug paraphernalia in the Little Building. The alcohol was disposed of and drug paraphernalia confiscated by the ECPD.

 

Tuesday, Jan. 26

A student reported having personal property stolen while inside the Starbucks on Summer Street.

A student reported having personal property stolen from their room in Paramount.

 

Thursday, Jan. 28

The Boston Police Department and ECPD responded to a student who was assaulted on Winter Street. The student was not injured during the incident. BPD is investigating the matter.

An ECPD officer found a suspicious individual inside Allen’s Alley. When approached by officers, the individual climbed a fire escape to the Little Building in an attempt to evade the ECPD.  ECPD found the person inside the residence hall and placed the individual under arrest for numerous criminal charges. BPD, who assisted ECPD, charged the person with several outstanding felony warrants.

 

Friday, Jan. 29

A student reported fraudulent use of their Board Bucks on their student ID.
