Wednesday, Jan. 13

The Emerson College Police Department and Facilities Management responded to the Ansin Building for a stopped elevator. Upon arrival a student was stuck inside one of them on the first floor. An on-site technician quickly freed the student.

A student reported being approached by an aggressive homeless person while on Tremont Street.

Thursday, Jan. 14

ECPD and Facilities Management responded to Ansin for a stopped elevator. Several students were trapped inside an elevator car on the first floor. An on-site technician freed the students.

ECPD and Facilities Management responded to Ansin for a stuck elevator.  Nine students were trapped inside elevator three on the second floor. The students were freed within five minutes.

Friday, Jan. 15

The ECPD dispatcher noticed on security cameras that two unidentified individuals had entered the Paramount Theater. Dispatch notified investigating officers that the two subjects had left prior to ECPD’s arrival. The officers completed a building search of the theater and found nothing out of the ordinary. Officers found the front doors to the theater unsecure, and locked them before leaving.

Monday, Jan. 18

The Office of Housing and Residence Life turned over a set of cutlery knives to the ECPD that had been confiscated because they were against dorm policy.

The ECPD confiscated a bong, other drug paraphernalia, and alcohol from a student’s room after the OHRL reported the violation to the police.
