Xfinity on Campus, here to stay

by Martha Schick / Beacon Staff • September 4, 2014

After piloting the program last year, Xfinity On Campus will remain an option for media-loving Emerson students, and will now be available at six other colleges and universities.

This service allows on-campus students access to over 200 channels, as opposed to Emerson's cable plan of 43 channels, available to students on residence halls TVs. Students can stream from anywhere on campus, as long as they are connected to Emerson's Wi-Fi or are using an ethernet cable. Students can access the service through by logging in with their Emerson username and password.

Joining Emerson this year in using XFinity on Campus are Bridgewater College, Drexel University, Lasell College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Delaware, and the University of New Hampshire.
