Actor Zach Braff was on campus Friday with the Students for Elizabeth Warren campaign group to urge students to register to vote.

During his visit to Emerson, Braff discussed his reasons for supporting the Democratic Senatorial candidate’s campaign.

“I’ve been fascinated with Elizabeth Warren ever since I saw [Elizabeth Warren Talking Tour on YouTube], which I think drew a lot of people to her,” said Braff in a private interview.

Braff said Warren’s message resonated with him, and inspired him to get involved in the campaign, but the core of his visit was to encourage students to vote.

“The real reason I am here, to the core of it, is that I was a college kid myself and I remember procrastinating, and not thinking about voting and thinking about many other things other than politics,” Braff said.

The deadline to register to vote in Massachusetts was yesterday.
