BECAUSE I SAID SO; IN THEATRES FEB. 2

Diane Keaton's latest could easily have been titled Something's Gotta Give 2. The only difference between the two star-filled movies is that this time around, instead of Jack Nicholson playing Keaton's love interest, we have Stephen Collins, better known as the dad from TV's "7th Heaven" and formerly paired with Keaton in 1996's The First Wives Club. But with a cast that includes Coyote Ugly heroine Piper Perabo, "Gilmore Girls" mom Lauren Graham and actress/singer/latest DJ AM conquest Mandy Moore, Because I Said So should be well worth the price of admission, hackneyed plot aside.

THE MESSENGERS; IN THEATRES FEB. 2

In the new horror flick The Messengers, the big-city livin' Solomon family (helmed by Dylan McDermott) decides to move to a secluded North Dakota farm (is that ever a good idea?) in the hopes of starting a new life. But soon enough, the two Solomon children start seeing (and being attacked by) frightening spirits around the house. They have to race to warn their skeptical parents of the ghosts' existence before it's too late. This is probably going to be remarkably similar to The Amityville Horror--but without the incredibly ripped Ryan Reynolds, it just won't be the same.
