JANET EVANOVICH; PLUM LOVIN'; AVAILABLE NOW

Best-selling author Janet Evanovich's latest novel is a "between" book, meaning it's not the 13th in her highly popular Stephanie Plum series (after last summer's Twelve Sharp), but still features the likeable New Jersey bond-enforcement agent ( i.e. bounty hunter). This time, Plum juggles two guys in her life, until a third comes along. This man offers to hand over a relationship coach that's on Plum's bounty list if Plum helps out by playing matchmaker for the unlucky coach's clients. Evanovich manages to include many funny scenes and her signature witty dialogue making this chick lit cute and perfect for Valentine's Day.

NORMAN MAILER; THE CASTLE IN THE FOREST: A NOVEL; AVAIABLE NOW

Norman Mailer's latest novel delves into the psyche of an adolescent Adolf Hitler through the eyes and narration of a middle-ranking devil named Dieter, whose leader is Satan (called "The Maestro" in the novel). This is definitely not light reading. Taking place between the years of 1837-1903 (the lifespan of Hitler's father), The Castle examines Hitler's family life as if he were the spawn of an incestuous couple in Austria. There's no actual conclusive evidence of this, but Mailer goes with it anyway, and paints a horrible picture of Hitler as a boy yearning for murder and insane power with Dieter always in the background, examining the young boy who would become one of the most vicious people in history.
