Thank you for the amount of time that you and your staff put into the issue of a potential lounge for off-campus students. When myself and fellow commuters Katie Reiter and Silas Lesnick met with Dean Ludman last Monday, I was hoping that our own "student-run" newspaper could help gather support for off-campus student rights. I was particularly impressed by the fact that both my last name and Katie's were misspelled. I was also blown away by the beautiful job your editing staff does of catching grammatical errors, so much so that there was only one in the first sentence!

To put icing on this cake, you insulted our efforts by writing a pointlessly tongue-in-cheek blurb for your "Upgrade/Downgrade" section, in which you relegated our efforts to "Worthy try, off-campus kids."

Thanks for talking down to 58 percent of the student body, many of whom read your sad "newspaper."

I'm only glad that part of my student activity fee goes to funding a newspaper that reads more like the red-headed stepchild of The Weekly Dig than anything with real substance.
