Heads up from SGA
After last week's elections throughout this country (including the mayoral election in Boston), I wanted to remind the student body of Emerson College that leadership positions are still available for students who want to become involved in the student governing board of Emerson College.
At Tuesday's Student Government Association (SGA) Meeting, the SGA voted to approve special elections for Dec. 13 and 14 of this year. Those elections will include the following positions: 2008 senator, 2008 vice president, 2008 writing, literature and publishing senator, and all of the members of the governing board of the class of 2009.
These elections are open to students from these respective departments or years (although students running for the governing board of the Class of 2009 must currently be members of the Freshman Class Council). If you are interested in running for one of these positions, please pick up an elections packet in the Student Life office and pass it in before the deadline of Dec. 2.
If you have any questions about the elections process, please feel free to contact Elections Commissioner Brad Dye at Bradley_Dye@emerson.edu.
We must always remember that leadership does not begin at a city or state level. It begins at a local level. The SGA asks for your support in continuing to serve the needs of our student body.
We ask you to fill out an elections packet if you are interested in serving the student body of this school through the SGA, and we ask you to vote on Dec. 13 and 14.

Press Secretary of the SGA
